MEDITERRANEAN VILLA

Set on a Greek island in a Unesco protected area, building this architecturally significant estate was a five-year labour of love.  Featuring a striking glass-roofed atrium, the main house comprises multiple living spaces, kitchens, gym, cinema room and 10 ensuite bedrooms. Within the grounds, surrounded by lush gardens, are a separate guest house, pool house and outdoor dining pavilion. The immaculate gardens are home to over 10,000 plants transported in from neighbouring islands, including 150 year old olive trees which border the fully restored 500 year-old water wheel original to the site.

The architecture takes its cue from the island’s Genoese influence, symmetrical in its proportions and built with local stone. The refined architectural style called for a rather minimal interiors scheme. The colour palette is simple and neutral letting the home’s natural surroundings be the star of the show. We created various seating, dining and gathering areas to allow for all types of entertaining whether it be a kids pizza party by the outdoor wood-fired pizza oven or a formal five-course dinner by candlelight.
